About our Business

We are a third generation family business, growing to four.  First generation John B. Galgano learned the carpentry trade in the navy during WWII and instilled the spririt of the Seabees in his son Peter who graduated from Oliver Wolcott Technical in Torrington, CT in 1974 at the top of his class in carpentry.  Peter was also voted by his peers as “most likely to succeed”.  Between 1975 and 1992 He managed multiple large development projects totalling over 1,000 units prior starting Peter B. Galgano and Daughters in 1992.

         Peter Galgano and Daughters specializes in quality colonial reproduction homes.  Peter’s daughters, Theresa and Samantha also learned the trade from their father as Peter did from his.  Theywere both encouraged to take an active part in the business and spent days off from school, weekends and summers helping their Dad and learning the business.  Peter told his girls that “Girls can do anything boys can do, only better”.

                     Peter B. Galgano and Daughters also was involved in a “Habitat for Humanity” project, building two homes in Litchfield, CT.  he is known by local Realtors for his unyielding patience, attention to detail and listening to his customers specific needs.
